Why this course?
The study of English develops literacy, language knowledge and thinking skills which are important in most jobs and have life-long benefits.  It is required or recommended for entry into many tertiary courses.

Any students considering not taking English are advised to check that they have gained the literacy requirements for University Entrance and have strong skills in reading and writing to assist them in any future courses they might wish to take at tertiary level, and in the workplace.
