14 Credits or more at NCEA Level 2 or in exceptional circumstances the approval of the HOLA. The grades and standards gained at Level 1 and Level 2will indicate a student’s readiness for this course of study. Level 3 Physical Education is a course that offers more than just credits. Participants in this course extend their coaching and leadership ability as well as improve their own performance in physical activity through greater understanding and practical application. This is a course covering a broad range of Achievement Standards related to the Physical Education field. Students will need to apply themselves to the practical and theory aspects of the course to be successful. |

Level 3 Physical Education offers further depth of study in leadership, coaching and optimising performance. It is an opportunity to apply specific training methods to personal performance and expeience new and challenging contexts. It is a stepping stone to tertiary study in the field of Physical Education, Recreation, Personal Training, Coaching, Physiotherapy, Massage therapy and any career based around the human body.
