Level 1 Practical Physical Education is a course that offers a re-assessment of the practically assessed standards and the associated theory standards during the same year. This, in conjunction with the coaching and personal activity standards, makes this a very practical course. Students will still need to apply themselves to the theory aspects of the course to be successful. |

| Why this course? |
|
This course offers an introduction to Senior Physical Education for students who struggle with the science based content and literacy requirements of the full NCEA Level 1 course. It is envisaged that this course would not offer a pathway to Level 2 Physical Education except in extreme cases rather it would prepare students well for the Outdoor Recreation courses in the senior school. The high practical content of this course would suit students who are active and seek to apply their knowledge in a practical context. |
