Curriculum Level 6, NCEA Level 1 Mathematics is a course where students cover aspects of Mathematics and Statistics such as Algebra, Geometric Number, Graphs, Trigonometry, and Statistics and Probability. Some students may find the whole course too demanding. Teachers will identify students who should not attempt the whole course or would benefit from studying unit standards and try to have them placed in one class together, where more time for each topic would be available. This may involve some negotiation with other option subjects leading up to and during course counselling day prior to Term 1 beginning. Standards offered are listed below. Please note that each 6 MAT class will offer a maximum of 24 credits to any one student. Class courses will be drawn from the standards listed below. Students will study a programme which will accommodate their individual needs. All the standards below provide NCEA Numeracy credit. |
